December 1, 2012 - Ryan Beatty and Chelsea Williams have a free concert at CityWalk tonight

The 17-year-old pop/rock singing sensation Ryan Beatty and pop singer Chelsea Williams are both stopping by Universal Studios CityWalk Hollywood to perform a free concert for fans!  The concert is taking place from 7-10 p.m. at CityWalk's 5 Towers Concert Venue.  In addition to being free, this concert is outdoors, so dress warm and bring an umbrella, I'm sure it will be another cold night with possible rain.

December 1, 2012 - The Alameda Writers Group have a free seminar in Glendale for aspiring Hollywood writers today

The Alameda Writers Group has another excellent seminar from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Glendale!  This free event will feature producer/writer/actor Christopher Lockhart giving aspiring Hollywood writers invaluable advice and guidance.

Tonight, Walgreens opens their 8,000th store on Sunset Boulevard & Vine Street in Hollywood (formally, home to Borders) with many celebrities scheduled to attend!  Celebrities will begin arriving at 5:00 p.m.  Some of the celebrities expected to attend include the following:

Nevember 30, 2012 - Paseo Colorado's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration takes place tonight in Pasadena

The annual Paseo Colorado Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration is taking place from 6-8 p.m. tonight in Pasadena!  This free event will feature musical performances by Charlotte Sometime
(who was on the second season of The Voice), Christmas carolers and Chelsea Johnson!  The night will also feature the beautiful 24' Christmas tree being lit, dance performances by  Lineage Dance and a special appearance by Santa Claus!  Free popcorn and hot apple cider will be served.

The 1982 movie An Officer and a Gentleman (starring Richard Gere & Debra Winger) has a free screening tonight!  This event is taking place at 10:00 p.m. at the Aero Theatre.  No tickets for this event, as it's first come, first served.  The theatre seats 435 people, so arrive early.

Make-up, special effects and costume/wardrobe designer Rick Baker is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 11:30 a.m. today!  Director Barry Sonnenfeld will be a guest speaker at the ceremony.

The 2006 movie Apocalypto screens on December 20th at the Egyptian Theatre followed by a question and answer session with writer/producer/director Mel Gibson and writer/producer Farhad Safinia at 7:30 PM!

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at either the box office or online at Fandango.  General admission is $11.00.
