***Update***  Heard that some who are calling Barnes & Noble are being told Mark Hamill isn't confirmed as appearing tonight.  Mark was scheduled for an interview with Extra he skipped the night of the night Sushi Girl premiered.  He's scheduled to attend, but your mileage may vary.  None of these appearances are ever a sure thing, but a a few other sites (here and here) are also reporting that he's scheduled to attend.

November 22, 2011 - Huge FREE Christmas celebration at CityWalk today with a tree lighting, concert & MORE

Universal CityWalk Hollywood has a huge celebration planned to start the Christmas season from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM !   This free celebration is being held at the 5 Towers outdoor arena. They're lighting their 40' Christmas tree with 100,000 lights, a live concert, light shows and virtual snow!  The concert will feature Richard Marx, Cody Simpson, Diana DeGarmo, Jasmine Villegas will be performing with Jimmy Bennett, the L.A. Gospel Choir and more!

November 19. 2011 - HUGE free Christmas tree lighting, concert and Santa Claus appearance in Santa Monica tonight

 Santa Monica Place has a huge holiday kick off tonight as Santa Claus arrives to light their tree and then you'll be treated to a concert!  There will be live musical performances by Ace of Hearts, The Heartbeat Boys, Josh Vietti and Savannah Robinson.  The tree lighting ceremony and concert will run from 6:00 PM to approximately 8:00 PM and is FREE!  Santa Monica Place is located at 395 Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica.  Directions to Santa Monica Place can be found here.

November 17, 2011 - Jewel is doing a free musical performance & interview today at The Grove

 Singer Jewel will be singing songs from her new children's CD 'The Merry Goes 'Round' and also doing an interview with Extra in the park at The Grove.  The first 75 fans in attendance will also get a  copy of her new CD.  This event starts at 2:00 PM, but you may want to get there early if you want a free CD.  The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.

The Grove also has a beautiful 100' Christmas tree that's worth checking out with 15,000 lights and 10,000 ornaments!  It also snows at The Grove every night at 7:00 & 8:00 p.m.  Enjoy!

November 15, 2011 - They Might Be Giants performing a FREE musical set and signing their new CD

Alternative rockers John Flansburgh and John Linnell from the group They Might Be Giants will be performing a live musical set and signing copies of their new CD 'Join Us' today at 6:00 p.m. at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles.  Listening to the musical set is free, but if you want a CD signed you'll have to purchase it the day of the event at the store.
